I hardly ever use SSD's or others midi grooves. first verse, chorus.whatever and after that it's copy, paste, changes here and there. I usual play those tracks with keyboards first i.e. So I'm using separate midi tracks for snare, hats, toms etc. Unless im overlooking something simple, the only time you should need a second version of SSD4 is if you wanted two different drum kits playing at once.I'm using only one instance of SSD maybe 8 to 10 aux channels for it in the mixer and also in the arrange window. If youre talking about making changes to eq/compression.still the easiest way is going to be using a single instance of SSD4. I would think the best place to do that would be inside a single instance of SSD4.as opposed to continually opening and closing SSD4/alternative midi tracks. I mean if youre talking about making changes to the drum kit.altering pieces ect.
